Welcome to the Benefits Connection Center at Adelante!
We help low-income adults connect to government benefits programs like SNAP, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and more. This service is offered free of charge to you, thanks to grants from the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and Walmart. We work to make the process as simple as possible, cutting through the governmental red tape and getting you the services you need. We even help you complete all the paperwork!
Step 1: Benefits Check up & Screening
Wonder what benefits you or a loved one might be eligible to receive? The Benefits Connection Center can help you find out. Call us at 505.273.5222 or toll-free at 844-CON2BEN (1-844-266-2236 outside the Albuquerque metro area) between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. One of our benefits assistants will gather the necessary information and run you through a Benefits Check-Up. Once that’s completed, you will know all of the benefits you are eligible to receive. You can also complete our contact form and then one of our benefits assistants will call you. Please have key information available like your Social Security number, your income, and address to complete the screening process.
Step 2: Benefits Enrollment
Once you know the benefits you are eligible to receive the Benefits Connection Center can help you with the enrollment process. The documents we need will vary for different benefits, but our team will guide you through the process and help you submit those documents. We’ll work with you on necessary follow up, too.
We can also help you re-enroll if you already know you are eligible. Just give us a call and we'll help you complete all the necessary forms to enroll!
Step 3: Receiving Benefits
When the process is completed, you receive your benefits. (The timelines vary, depending on the benefits for which you are approved.)
Benefits Enrollment Centers (BECs) across the United States focus on connecting people to core benefits including: the Medicare Part D Extra Help/Low-Income Subsidy (LIS), the Medicare Savings Programs, Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP - formerly known as Food Stamps), and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The Benefits Connection Center at Adelante cdan also help you with Social Security Ticket to Work and help you get access to assistive devices through Back in Use.
