A majority of our employees work directly with people with disabilities and seniors. As a relatively large organization, there are lots of other jobs such as HR, marketing, fundraising, IT, business operations, management and more.

Sheila A. Moore & Jim Bullard Scholarships
Sheila Moore and Jim Bullard were both long-term Adelante employees that valued the professional development of our team members. They not only started programs at Adelante, they nurtured the next generation of leaders for many, many years. Upon their retirements, Adelante began scholarship programs to honor Jim and Sheila and to support the educational and professional growth of employees.
The Sheila A. Moore Scholarship Fund is for current employees (working 20 or more hours a week) and their legal dependents. The funds support all professional and continuing education tracks including college tuition and books.
The Jim Bullard Technology, Facilities & Project Management Training Fund is for current employees (working 20 or more hours a week) only. This professional development funding is focused on the fields of technology, facilities, skilled trades and project management.

Because we work closely with people who are vulnerable and their care is our primary concern, all of our positions require a background check and drug test. Though experience is appreciated, it is not always required. Adelante provides all of the state-required trainings to our incoming staff members so they can work safely and effectively. Many positions require employees to drive for the agency, and for those positions a good driving record is required. More specifics are listed on the individual job openings.
