The people supported by Adelante are a resource to our community — and so is our organization.
Adelante works to be a resource for people across New Mexico, above and beyond our work supporting seniors and people with disabilities. Many people are surprised at the variety of services we offer that benefit our state and the people who live here.
Adelante supports the work of other nonprofits, connects people to technology, durable medical equipment, governmental benefits, and food.
Plus, we run a thrift store that provides low-cost clothing and housewares while providing employment for people with disabilities.

Adelante connects seniors and people with disabilities to government benefits, offering a one-stop screening process and support with enrolling or re-enrolling. If you or someone you care about are wondering if you’re eligible for government assistance, Adelante can help you find out for free.
Adelante’s newest social enterprise, Destination Accessibility has launched! The program is the first of its kind in the Albuquerque metropolitan area and will allow for residents and visitors with physical limitations to explore the city with mobility equipment. The new business will rent electric wheelchairs, power scooters, and transfer wheelchairs to people who are visiting Albuquerque.
GiveABQ is a nonprofit donations distribution center where you can give a donation and have it benefit the social service nonprofit community. We pickup and distribute office furniture, housewares and durable medical equipment, such as wheelchairs and walkers. Nonprofits can select and get items they need for their organization or their clients.
Qualified clinics and healthcare providers refer participants to local activities to support a healthy lifestyle. The Wellness Referral Center registers participants and sends back participation information to the referring entity so activities can be tracked.
