Are you confused managing all of today’s technology? Are you overwhelmed by the challenges that come with it? These days it seems that technology and its advancements are almost impossible to keep up with. Tech runs pretty much every single facet of our lives, and therefore one problem can cause a multitude of others. A recent report noted that two thirds of Americans aren’t tech savvy. Technophobia is a genuine problem in our society. Furthermore, that’s an issue that is worsening as our our population ages.
Fortunately, Adelante’s DiverseIT program is stepping up to provide a solution. DiverseIT is now offering weekly computer classes. Because October is Cyber Security month, our October 2024 classes focus on Cyber Security. If you would like to learn more about computers in a welcoming environment, DiverseIT is here to help with group computer classes, as well as one-on-one training sessions. While our focus is cyber security in October, DiverseIT offers a range of classes every month.
What computer classes does DiverseIT offer?
Most computer classes at DiverseIT are just $25. We offer a host of topics such as avoiding scams, learning about artificial intelligence, protecting your data, and operating your computer. Classes happen once a week, but you can schedule additional sessions for one-on-one learning. Best of all, the trainers are approachable and know how to relay tech information in an understandable way. Questions are welcome. You can be yourself without fear of judgment for not being tech savvy.

Class Location & How to Sign Up
Unless otherwise explained on the schedule, we teach these computer classes at the DiverseIT Computer Repair & Training Center located at 5400 San Mateo NE, Suite C in Albuquerque, New Mexico. To register for a class, send an email to DiverseIT@GoAdelante.org or call 505-881-8324. When you register, let the team know if you are bringing your own device. Laptops are available for use during the classes if a student needs to borrow one. If these times and dates don’t work out for your schedule, or you have other training needs and would prefer one-on-one training, that is also an option. Use the same phone or email above to schedule your individual training. Be sure to list the tech subject so we can connect you with the best trainee. This training is $40 an hour.
