Employment Services

Supported Employment

EmployAbility is a supported employment program that functions like an employment agency for people with disabilities. Our team of employment services reps and employment skills trainers help people develop job skills, write a resume, interview for jobs, and, once the person finds employment, provides training on that specific job.

Our EmployAbility service does not end once a job is attained. An Employment Skills Trainer can help with training and orientation, and follow up with the employer to make sure things continue to run smoothly. If the scope of a job changes, Adelante staff can return to the place of employment to provide more training.

Adelante helps people find jobs in their area of interest. We have placed people as sales clerks, film operators, car detailers, pet groomer’s aides, day care workers, delivery drivers, and many other jobs.

Adelante EmployAbility works with new people every month and finds hundreds of people jobs every year. The unemployment rate for people with disabilities continues to be over 70% so the program’s success is important in helping people with disabilities progress toward greater independence and inclusion in the community.

Adelante EmployAbility helps you locate and hire capable and motivated workers, which can be especially challenging for entry-level positions. Adelante pre-screens applicants for full or part-time positions and matches the right person with the job requirements. An Adelante employment skills trainer works with each business, at no charge, to train the employees we provide and stays on until they are fully trained. If job descriptions or duties change, Adelante can provide further training to make sure your business’s needs continue to be met. We can also provide information on the tax incentives available for hiring a person with a disability.
