We are helping people with disabilities, people of color, and women to start careers in IT with hands-on training. We provide computers to people with disabilities and local nonprofits, too. DiverseIT Training & Computer Services

Customized Group Training

DiverseIT addresses the digital divide in a number of ways, including training people how to better use technology. We offer trainings from the basics of how to use a computer to advanced IT certifications.

We have worked with schools and charter schools to provide the indepth IT curriculum that students and parents value today. This can give your students a head start in the IT career of choice.

DiverseIT also trains employees for local businesses, including nonprofits. Whether you need to learn the Google suite, Windows software (Excel, Word, Outlook), or Salesforce, DiverseIT can help.

IT Career Training for People with Disabilities

Adelante has been involved in disability services for over 40 years and DiverseIT, as a community resource of Adelante, definitely cares about people with disabilities. In fact, a primary focus of our work is training people with a variety of disabilities such as autism, to learn about the IT field. Interns repair computers, install software, and earn certifications with the goal of getting a good paying job in IT. DiverseIT also uses our skills to help other nonprofits, companies, and schools, to utilize and access the IT they need. Our team can help set up computer networks, customize your Salesforce software, design and implement a new website, and more.

Computer Donations and Re-use

Refurbished computers are given to people with qualifying disabilities who cannot otherwise afford them. DiverseIT also provides computers to nonprofit organizations, as a community resource.

Computer Repair

Need your computer looked at or repaired? Our IT services are reasonably priced, and if there are every any additional costs for parts or labor, we will let you know before we do the repair. Most repairs cost $50 plus parts. We are not in the business of selling new computers, so we work to fix your system rather than trying to sell you another one.

DiverseIT offers a variety of trainings that are open to the public including computer basics, internet security and Comcast’s Digital Literacy classes.

Gone Phishing: Avoiding Scams

Learn to better protect yourself on the internet, including how to spot scams, phishing emails, and fraud. Older adults are ofter targeted for scams, but this class will give you some tools to protect your computer and your personal information while you are online.
