Adelante is Helping Organize KOATs for Kids

The KOATs for Kids project takes in donated coats and gets them to children in need. It’s been a holiday tradition in New Mexico for over 30 years.

This year, KOAT Channel 7 and Nusenda Credit Union were looking for a new partner to help with KOATs for Kids, they chose Adelante. As a result, Adelante is sorting coats, collecting data, and distributing coats across the state. In addition, Adelante’s contact center is handling calls and our website is taking requests from schools and organizations.

Adelante likes to be a community resource. We go above and beyond our mission. So, it was no surprise that the team at Adelante and GiveABQ said, “Yes, we’re here to help!”

A challenge for our customers & partners

Adelante is challenging Adelante Enterprises customers, case management agencies, and other businesses to collect coats. The group that brings the most coats wins a prize. (Drop off at 3900 Osuna Rd NE, Albuquerque) Regardless of who collects the most coats, the winners will be local kids.

You Can Get Involved, too!

Adelante needs coats to make this project successful. Requests come from elementary schools up to high schools. Therefore, all sizes, small to XXL, are needed. Find the drop-off locations at koats-for-kids.org . It’s under the Community Resources section of Adelante’s website.

Thanks for helping keep kids warm this winter!
