Adelante wants to extend a huge thank you to all who participated in this year’s Giving Tuesday
! In total, Adelante raised $10,055.
We appreciate the outpouring of support from our donors, the generous matching gifts from our board of directors, and the Adelante team members who shared stories about their work and the why they support the ways our organization is a community resource.
Donations help sustain and nurture Adelante’s many programs. From helping people with disabilities enjoy a wide variety of employment opportunities and building confidence through art and education, to helping seniors have a safe place to learn, socialize, and live. Adelante is proud to work on behalf of people with disabilities, seniors, and disadvantaged populations across New Mexico.
Some of the great staff stories are included below for those who missed them on social media.
Gifts are appreciated all year long. You can make a secure donation through our new website, https://goadelante.org/donate/
“Adelante has such a positive feeling to it. When I go to the various sites and see the staff interacting with the clients, I always seem to leave with a full heart. The kindness, compassion, and care that is shown the individuals is heart-warming. All of us can benefit from and learn so much from these individuals. They are genuine and caring. I love interacting with them.”

“I fell in Love with Adelante when my Dad, who has Parkinson’s, received a hospital bed from the Back in Use Program after our family had exhausted all efforts to acquire one for him through insurance, etc. with no results. My mother heard of the program by word of mouth and requested one along with a few other items that were needed and within a few weeks we were able to provide the needed equipment for my dad. As a result his quality of life was drastically affected as well as my mom’s as a caregiver. Because of the sincere care and concern received from people behind the Back in Use Program my family was blessed and filled with much gratitude for Adelante!
Having been on the receiving end and now being able to be on the giving end has made me feel I can pay forward many times over what me and my family received from Adelante.”

“I love Adelante for so many things. I love that we positively impact so many aspects of life in New Mexico — specifically helping people experiencing disabilities, disadvantages, hunger, and aging. One of my favorite experiences here at Adelante was spending two days at Creative Hands (Day Program). It was awesome to see the high quality of care and compassion that our staff gives to those we serve. I saw a clean, creative, safe, fun, and stimulating environment that made me proud to be part of the Adelante family.”
